The tour ends in a tranquil garden, where you will savour traditional tea and delectable Bo-Kaap snacks whilst socializing.

Our incredible experience takes you on a walking tour through the vibrant Bo-Kaap neighborhood and to South Africa's oldest spice shop, where you'll get the lowdown on Masala must-haves. After strolling through Bo-Kaap's must-see sites, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get cooking! You'll learn how to whip up four amazing dishes in our cooking class, and then sit down to indulge in a traditional Cape Malay feast made from your own creations. As a bonus, you'll walk away with a recipe booklet and Masala Mix to keep the foodie fun going at home.

Get ready to tantalize your taste buds as we journey through the rich and flavourful food history of Bo-Kaap! We'll kick things off at a local hot spot, where we'll munch on the nation's favorite doughnut before visiting South Africa's oldest spice store. To finish off, you'll dive into a 3-course lunch of traditional Cape Malay dishes, right in the heart of a Bo-Kaap home. Bon appétit!
